Magnetic Bearing Chiller functions like a conventional chiller system, where water is used as a cooling medium. The chiller could overcome friction force that occurred during the compressor shaft rotation with the help of magnetic bearing. As a result, the magnetic bearing chiller will significantly consume lower electrical power, as much as 60%, when compared with conventional bearing chillers. The chiller compressor is 50% smaller when compared with conventional one. It is easier for maintenance operations due to precise system monitoring control units which could be checked with a laptop.
